The 2008 Annual National Convention of Haitian-Americans will be held at the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel. Sheraton’s ongoing commitment to excellence, a dedication to peak performance and refined comfort has made them the venue of choice for the 2008 Annual NCCHA.

Rooms

The hotels will do their best to honor your request for non-smoking or for a smoking room. If you have a smoking allergy, it is very important that you write that under Special Needs on the Reservation Form.

If you would like to room with someone, please try to send in your forms together.

If you have a problem at Check-in, kindly contact the Registration team. We will work with the hotel to address your concerns.

Remember to leave a tip for your room cleaner – usually $1 per person per night.

If you find that you have to cancel your reservation, please notify us by September 1st, 2008. Unfortunately, anyone who registers and does not attend or utilize his/her room will be charged the full room rate.

Meals

Your registration covers breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Saturday and Sunday. For full attendees, registration covers opening reception and Gala. The meal plan is REGULAR or VEGETARIAN. Other meals are at your discretion.

Special Needs

If you have special medical, please indicate it/them under Special Needs at the bottom of the Reservation Form so that we can notify the hotels. If you need more room on the form to explain your needs, use the back of the form or the additional comment box, but be sure to indicate that there is a note on the back.

Confirmation of Reservation and Check-In Times

Confirmation of your hotel and/or meals reservations will be sent to you approximately three weeks before Convention either via mail, email and/or fax. After September 20th, 2008, all notifications will be sent either via email or fax. Thus, please make sure you enter an email and/or fax number on your registration form. Check-in time at the Sheraton is 3PM and checkout time is 12PM.

Convention registration will be held on the 3rd floor of the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel starting at 3PM on Friday, October 10th, 2008 for Convention attendees. Exhibitors/ Vendors/ Sponsor may begin registration at 9AM on October 10th, 2008.
